At Friends of the Animals - Greater Hampton Roads, our vision is to facilitate and assist our area municipal shelters with caring for and providing medical care for the animals sheltered at, or otherwise in the care of those shelters.

- We will work hard to provide community information and education on issues related to animal welfare.
- We will facilitate programs that help reduce the overpopulation of domesticated animals.
- We will facilitate programs that may help domesticated animals to be returned to their owners if they become strays.
- We will facilitate the well-being

- Articles of Incorporation were filed with Commonwealth of Virginia's State Corporation Commission on September 29, 2022
- The first meeting was held on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
- The officers for the Board of Directors were appointed.
- The officers voted to expand the purpose and chance the name to Friends of the Animals - Greater Hampton Roads
